On April 19, the first meeting of the information cycle "Promotion of the green economy in the Republic of Belarus: principles, mechanisms, prospects" was held in Brest.

The event was organized by the representative office of the European Union with the participation of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Brest Regional Executive Committee.

The principles and prospects of Belarus' transition to a "green" economy were discussed at the meeting. Siarhey Darozhka's report "Resource efficient and cleaner production as a component of the ecologization of the economy of enterprises" revealed the essence of the advanced and quite widespread in the world method of management. RECP for Belarusian enterprises is one of the ways to increase labor productivity and reduce the impact on the environment.

The participants of the meeting showed interest in a detailed aquaintance to this approach. The resource-efficient and cleaner production primer will help specialists to get acquainted with the main RECP concepts and approaches,the RECP implementation stages at the enterprise, examples of successful practices from the experience of industrial enterprises of the Republic of Belarus and other countries
