Clubs

With the support of the regional executive committees, in particular the departments of Economics and district inspections of natural resources two new clubs were open in 2016 (in Molodechno and Slutsk).

The purpose of seminars is to provide training and competence to experts on matters of safe and efficient production and environmental performance, water consumption and water sewerage, use of various forms of energy, energy efficiency and energy saving, management of hazardous substances, and materials waste.

To achieve this goal the participants are provided with relevant information materials on modern resource efficient and cleaner production methods and technologies prepared by the UNIDO.

The training consists of 6 modules and includes the following topics:

• Methodology of resource efficient and cleaner production, and the possibility of its application by enterprises in Belarus;
• Energy efficiency of companies. Factors affecting energy consumption. Measures to reduce energy consumption;
• Water as a resource. Measures to reduce water consumption;
• Materials and resources needed for production. Measures to reduce material and resource intensity of production;
• Use of chemicals at the plants. Preventive treatment measures;
• Development of an action plan for the implementation of resource efficient and cleaner production at the plant.

Several specialists from the same enterprise may take part in the training.

Classes (seminars) are held two-three times per month, last 2-3 hours and specialists are not required to take a leave from work.

Training for experts is free of charge.

Upon completion of training participants will receive a certificate of training completion.
